Job summary

Special Steels Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Materials Information Coordinator to join our engineering team. You will extract data from customer orders, configure heat treatment parameters in our bespoke ERP, and ensure all processing requirements are clarified before work begins.

The role focuses on accurate costings, certificates of conformity, and meticulous record-keeping for audits. We offer permanent, full-time employment with a clear development path and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• IT literacy to confidently learn and use a bespoke in-house ERP system.
• Excellent written and spoken English with professional and helpful communication.
• Organised, logical and detail-oriented approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Data Extraction: Review customer orders to extract and transfer variables into the in-house ERP.
• Technical Process Configuration: Calculate heat treatment parameters and program into the system.
• Requirement Clarification & Communication: Contact customers to resolve ambiguities before work starts.
• Commercial Order Validation: Review costs against price lists and provide accurate costings.
• Certification & Compliance Assurance: Create certificates of conformity and furnace charts.
• Quality & Audit Compliance: Maintain thorough records for internal and external audits.
