Materials Handling Technician - 0986 - £17.87/hr PAYE

What You Will Do:

• Inspect vehicle parts to ensure they meet technical drawings and quality standards.
• Use handheld measuring tools, such as verniers and calipers, with accuracy.
• Manage receipt and dispatch of goods, including unloading and booking test parts.
• Liaise with internal teams to communicate the arrival of test parts and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain stock control using company databases and ensure test parts are readily available for use.
• Support health and safety initiatives and work collaboratively to improve efficiency.

What You Will Bring:

• A practical background, ideally with experience in the motor trade, technician roles, or a stores/goods environment.
• A current full UK driving licence and a willingness to learn new skills, such as forklift truck operation.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload.
• Proficiency in PC packages and a willingness to learn bespoke computer systems.
• A team-oriented attitude with a proactive and solution-focused approach.

Working Pattern: 5 days a week in the office; normal hours are 8:00-17:00 Mon-Thu & 8:00-13:20 Fri. This schedule is non-negotiable with the department.
