Overview

We are currently looking for a Materials Handler / Assembly Operative to start work asap on eventually a (Apply online only) Mon-Fri shift for our client based on the outskirts of Maidstone. However whilst being trained you would be on the (Apply online only) shift. Rate of Pay will be £13.13 per hour on (Apply online only) & £13.79 per hour on the (Apply online only) (all shifts Mon-Fri). (Long term ongoing temp work - Subject to work load / productivity and suitability to the role).

Responsibilities
  • Unloading material bags (up to 15kg) into machines and climbing steps as required.
  • Reading barcodes to determine the colour of materials to put into machines that can produce hundreds of products.
  • Carrying out both production and light assembly tasks for plastic components.
  • Working to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Standing/walking for long periods and performing manual handling as part of daily duties.
  • Induction and ongoing training as the role requires.
  • Maintaining safety and compliance with site rules (safety boots and Hi-Vis vest required).
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience of production and light assembly work is preferred but not essential.
  • You must be reliable and committed.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and be accurate with all duties.
  • Own transport is essential due to shift timings & location; there is plenty of parking on site.
