About the Opportunity
Our Specialist Consultancy and Laboratory Solutions business is looking for a materials scientist or engineer who can apply their skills and experience to solving a wide range of real-world engineering problems in order to support our clients in the nuclear industry and beyond.
Our materials team work on a range of experimental and desk-based consultancy projects, helping our clients identify materials for use in their nuclear fleet as well as identifying, investigating and proposing solutions to materials issues and failures using our extensive rig and laboratory facilities based in Warrington, Cheshire.
The Materials and Equipment Qualification team delivers solutions for clients through experimental and analytical project activities, always ensuring that work is delivered safely and to cost, time, quality and client expectations. The role offers an excellent opportunity for those wishing to develop their career.
You will be part of the Materials and Equipment Qualification team which works on a variety of projects including metallurgical investigations, polymer science and equipment qualification. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, able to work on several varied projects at the same time, prioritising as appropriate and willing to learn new topics
