Are you a Materials Engineer with a passion for advancing the orthopedics industry?

As a Senior Materials Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, testing, and manufacturing process optimization of critical medical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of material and process specifications in collaboration with design, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.
  • Conduct research and analysis of material properties, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical characteristics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and patient safety.
  • Develop and execute testing plans for material validation and performance assessment, including fatigue, wear, and biocompatibility testing.
  • Provide expert materials guidance throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to post-market support.
  • Troubleshoot material-related issues in the manufacturing process and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in materials engineering, ideally within the medical device industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and porous coatings for orthopaedic implants.
  • Proficient in material characterisation techniques (microscopy, spectroscopy, mechanical testing).
