Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Material Controller to come and join the team in Goole at our Rail Village. Reporting to the Material & Logistics Production Supervisor, you would manage and control incoming and outgoing goods operations, all physical stock movements & also organise all freight requirements for operations in the Traction Drives facility.

You’ll make a difference by…

  • Management (both physical & through our SAP stock control tool) of all incoming & outgoing goods operations for the Traction Drives department
  • Management of all physical stock within the warehouse
  • Control over all general stock levels & responsibility to keep them at the required level
  • Responsible for freight & haulage requirements with a drive for cost control of suppliers
  • Booking in & checking off of all incoming goods
  • Locating all stock within the warehouse / racking and keeping the warehouse in good order
  • Packing & shipping of all deliveries to customers & suppliers
  • Kitting of all BoMs both for service jobs & for direct customer orders
  • Reordering all general stock component requirements to ensure no halts in production
  • Booking of all haulage companies to collect from or deliver goods to the factory

Your success will be grounded by…

Essential:

  • Significant experience in a warehouse / stock control environment mandatory
  • Familiar with MS office and stock control software & good general computer literacy mandatory

Preferred:

  • Forklift Truck & Stacker Truck licenses highly desirable
  • Background in an engineering environment preferable
