Job summary

ENVEA, a leading global company in environmental and industrial instrumentation, seeks a Material Control Assistant in Swavesey, Cambridgeshire. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to support production through purchasing, stock control, and supplier management.

Ideal applicants will have GCSEs/A-Levels, experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or Sage advantageous), and strong communication skills. Right to work in the UK required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• GCSEs and A-Levels or equivalent.
• Experience in purchasing, manufacturing administration, or material control is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Sage is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Track orders and deliveries by phone and email with suppliers.
• Update ERP system with real-time information.
• Provide delivery updates and resolve material shortages for production.
• Purchase materials, consumables, and equipment for production.
• Assist with supplier onboarding and maintain supplier relationships.
• Carry out stock checks and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Help resolve invoice queries and maintain purchasing records and reports.
