Job description

Responsibilities

1. Start-up and Shut-down Extruder and pelletizer. 2. Check concentrate quality for defects and correct accordingly.3. Pull one sample of concentrate at the beginning of the run and turnover to Color Matching to check color. Put in Correction if Concentrate sample is off color.4. Ensure all production equipment is operational and perform minor repairs if necessary. 5. And break parts down for color change and clean properly, Remove Pelletizer wheel and clean if necessary.6. Maintain the area in a clean and orderly manner.7. Record production results at the end of the shift

8. Any additional duties assigned by Group Lead, Assistant, andColor Extrusion Coordinator.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma / GED equivalent.2. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.3. Ability to work in a dusty environment.4. Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10 – 12-point font at a distance of 12 – 18 Inches5. Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara screen).6. Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complex.7. Able to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building8. Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum of approximately 10 Times per 8-hour day.
