Qualifications

  • PhD in materials chemistry or closely related discipline with excellence.
  • Ability to teach materials chemistry across undergraduate levels.
  • Teaching qualification or HEA Fellowship, or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials and other classes, and contribute to examinations and feedback.
  • Deliver campus-based teaching and assessment in core inorganic chemistry and related modules.
  • Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with the programme team to achieve learning outcomes.
  • Support students through Blackboard, forums, email and office hours; maintain online teaching materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on course delivery, co‑teaching and examination panels as appropriate.
