We have a new position for a Materials Assistant with experience in approvals to support our Fabrics teams. It's an amazing opportunity to work in a rewarding and creative environment. Reporting to the Head of Materials and Product, this role involves various tasks; knowledge of prints is a big bonus. Please read the entire job description and apply only if your skills match our requirements.

Fabric Admin Management:
  • Sending for prices on new hangers when they arrive.
  • Pricing & dating hangers.
  • Filing new hangers upon receipt.
  • Supporting the Materials Coordinator to keep the materials library tidy and functional.
  • Assisting with post-show admin: sending follow-up emails to suppliers requesting selections and prices, creating a tracking system, with 6 shows per year.
Collection Fabric Management:
  • Creating and sending bulk order packs to the Materials Manager monthly, requiring proficiency in Illustrator.
  • Adding lab dips to the design lineup boards.
  • Managing daily post: collecting, distributing, and coordinating weekly shipments to China.
Approvals:
  • Processing and following up on all lab dips for the correct fabrics per collection.
  • Approving lab dips daily and providing comments on internal systems.
  • Filing lab dips in an organized, accessible system.
Prints:
  • Managing print processes: actioning strike-offs on appropriate fabrics, tracking, and approval.
  • Experience in recoloring, rescaling, creating repeats, and working on placement prints is preferred.
Looking for:
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience or a graduate degree in a creative field, preferably fashion, design, or textiles, with experience in approving lab dips and bulk fabrics.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professionalism and dedication to the role.
  • Personable team player suitable for a small office environment.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
