As the Materials and Corrosion Engineer (Senior or Principal), you will be responsible for delivering engineering outputs, including selecting safe and cost-effective material solutions, developing and guiding internal test programmes, and resolving client queries and technical issues for Catalyst Technologies Licensed projects and associated R&D.

Your responsibilities:
- Deliver materials and corrosion engineering outputs for assigned licensing and R&D projects.
- Lead the selection of suitable, cost-effective construction materials for projects, ensuring safety and reputation are maintained.
- Review and update material specifications for proprietary equipment and licensed technologies.
- Review and advise on manufacturing procedures, including material production, welding, fabrication, treatments, and NDT techniques.
- Lead or consult on material failure investigations and testing programs.
- Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Conduct materials and corrosion consultancy work for JM clients or prospects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures, maintaining high safety standards.
- Stay updated with the latest technical developments in your field.
Requirements for the role:
- Degree or equivalent in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to pressure vessel engineering, materials selection, and corrosion control (e.g., ASME, ISO, NACE, API, ASTM).
- Extensive experience in materials selection and corrosion engineering, preferably in the chemical process industry.
- Strong understanding of material properties, corrosion mechanisms, and failure analysis.
- Practical experience with materials analytical techniques supported by theoretical knowledge.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work amidst conflicting priorities.
