Job summary

Veolia invites applications for a site-based operator at the Battlefield Plastics Recycling Facility in Shrewsbury. The role is 37.5 hours per week with rotating shifts (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am). Salary is £26,715 per year with Veolia benefits.

You will carry out sampling, paperwork and site-wide duties to keep operations compliant and efficient. The position emphasizes health and safety, accurate documentation, and teamwork within a busy recycling environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sampling of all materials, ensuring samples are representative of the materials being processed in line with our quality protocols
• Accurate and timely completion of all paperwork
• Ensure all sampling equipment is available and serviceable
• Undertake daily administrative duties to support the facility
• Act as a first point of contact for all site visitors, ensuring that they are aware of and adhere to site rules, policies and procedures
• General housekeeping duties across the site to ensure it is kept clean and tidy
• Other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Management team
