Are you a detail-driven planner with a passion for organisation and a keen interest in the food production industry? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Materials Planner to join a busy Planning team at a well-established food production site in South Kirkby.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a vital role in a fast-paced environment, with the chance to grow, develop, and progress within a leading supplier to household names like HelloFresh and Gousto.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the raw materials planning process—ensuring the timely supply of beef and pork for slicing, dicing, and packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ordering fresh and frozen proteins
Managing material increase/decrease requests
Liaising with suppliers and confirming purchase orders
Co-ordinating dicing and beef blast plans
Monitoring shelf-life and stock levels daily
Booking frozen stock into storage
Handling inbound calls and customer queries
Supporting the wider team with holiday cover and ad hoc duties
Minimum 1 year experience in Raw Materials Planning (required)
Experience in administration or sales admin (preferred)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to work to deadlines
IT literate and confident in using data systems
A team player with a proactive and flexible mindset
Salary: Up to £35,000 per year (DOE)
