The Opportunity
As a
Material Planning Analyst, you are responsible for scheduling, planning, and oversight of material procurement, production, and delivery.
What You Will Do
As a
Material Planning Analyst, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
- Developing and executing material planning for a product line. Ensuring that all material requirements for assigned programs are satisfied within the allocated time frame.
- Tracking, and analysing and preparing and presenting data relating to supplier performance metrics.
- Analysing MRP data and co-ordinating the alignment of part schedules with production build forecasts using various data sources
- Ensuring that material is shipped and received on time focusing on supplier delivery performances and production plans, including the arrangement of expedited freight where necessary
- Management and optimisation of inventory with the defined constraints
- Reacting to process failures and supplier issues
- Support improvement plans focusing on safety, quality, velocity, and cost
- Working with suppliers to identify, correct and eliminate poor performance
- Relationship maintenance, including external suppliers and other key areas within the business (including logistics, operations and the wider supply chain group)

What You Can Demonstrate
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Inventory Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in material requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
- Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
What You May Have
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics/Logistics Planning
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Experience of SAP would be beneficial
- Experience of Power BI would be beneficial

Salary: £30,000-£35,500 depending on experience

Contract: Full time & permanent – shift times 11:00-19-00 initially (subject to change)
