Job description
Overview

As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of materials required for production. This includes managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and working cross-functionally with purchasing, production, and logistics teams.

You will play a key role in supporting operational performance and minimising disruptions to the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule materials to meet production requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Monitor and manage stock levels using ERP/MRP systems
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues
  • Maintain accurate material planning data including lead times, safety stock, and order quantities
  • Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to align supply plans with production schedules
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a material planning, production planning, or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
