Material Planner
The Material Planner will order raw and pack materials to support the production plan without impacting the production line, while maintaining inventory levels within targets. Additionally, SAP parameters such as safety stock, safety time, MOQ, and planned delivery time must be accurately maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure materials are ready before production starts, with correct quantities and timing.
- Control inventory levels (SLOB) within targets, considering shelf life and MOQ.
- Support NPD for existing and transferred materials from Purchasing.
- Evaluate and validate suppliers using PPLF performance metrics (quantity, delivery, quality) and provide feedback for improvement.
- Confirm materials according to plan, raising alerts for potential delays to the Production Planner and relevant functions.
- Verify purchase documents for all materials.
- For RSPO, review annual volume summaries and track data.
- Coordinate closely with ITC, Warehouse, and QA for timely material receipt, both imported and local.
- Conduct monthly SLOB data analysis, identifying root causes and actions for the Planning Manager.
- Order materials based on lead time and MOQ in SAP, correcting inaccurate parameters as needed.
Additional/Secondary Responsibilities
- Arrange transportation for supplier pickups and compile monthly transport reports.
- Summarize daily incoming plans for relevant functions.
- Request shelf life extensions for RM/PM as necessary.
- Support urgent customer orders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, or Material Planning, preferably in manufacturing.
Interpersonal Skills
- Proficient in English (spoken and written).
- Good coordination with international suppliers.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Flexible and able to work under pressure.
Other Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in SAP or ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
