Job description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Utilizes manual and motorized machinery to ensure prompt and accurate processing of vendor and customer return receipts.
  • Uses RF devices to verify location, product, and quantity.
  • Verifies received items by matching product description, quantity, packaging, and expiration date with documentation or RF device data.
  • Notes discrepancies and marks products for review by supervisors.
  • Breaks down received products into correct selling units and places them in designated stocking locations as noted on the department or RF device.
  • Handles damaged inventory by bringing it to the designated area and notifying the inventory control team or spill team as appropriate.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Additionally, all employees are responsible for:

  • Meeting company standards for quantity and quality of work, in compliance with all policies and standards.
  • Adhering to workplace behavior policies and completing tasks in accordance with company procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to pass safety training for all required equipment. Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills. Effective communication skills. Detail-oriented and responsible for accurate decision-making within guidelines. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and manage multiple tasks. Ability to distinguish products with similar features.

Experience:

Knowledge of basic warehousing operations is preferred.

Other:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, carry, or move products up to 50 lbs frequently. Continuous walking on concrete floors. Frequent gripping, pushing, pulling, and hand manipulation. Regular twisting or bending. Occasional ladder climbing and use of tools such as tape guns, utility knives, pallet jacks, and RF devices.

Conditions:

Work in a temperature-controlled environment, with occasional exposure to dust and cold conditions.
