Join our client and embark on an exciting opportunity as they seek a skilled and dedicated Material Handler to contribute to the Site Materials team.

What you will do

You will play a pivotal role within the Materials team, handling materials in a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible for creating a seamless flow of materials between Production and Stores.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Efficient and timely handling of all materials
  2. Support Production through timely and accurate delivery of parts
  3. Use of PIT in a safe and efficient manner including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Pallet Stacker, Tugger Truck, etc.
  4. Processing of parts received for both Production and Stores
  5. Prompt and accurate control of paperwork
  6. Loading and Unloading of Materials deliveries
  7. Compliance with inventory control measures
  8. Compliance with internal environmental and waste management procedures
  9. Following Standard Work procedures
What you will bring
  1. Previous experience working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment in a similar role
  2. Valid PIT license, preferably Counterbalance
  3. IT literacy - previous experience with MRP-style systems is advantageous
  4. Educated to GCSE standard
  5. Understanding of Inventory Control
  6. Self-motivation and initiative
  7. Ability to work well in a team
  8. Ability to problem-solve
  9. Strive towards continuous improvement
  10. Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities
