Job summary

Manpower is seeking a Material Handler for the Heysham site with Monday to Friday shifts from 08:00 to 16:00. The role involves picking UK and Export shipments, packing and labeling to meet transport regulations, and maintaining accurate paperwork and stock levels. Training on site will cover equipment use and safety procedures.

Candidates should have basic IT skills, strong English communication, and warehouse experience. Knowledge of Kaizen/5S or handling chemicals is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pick UK and Export Shipments using Pick Lists; report any issues.
• Follow packing and labeling instructions to comply with regulations.
• Collate export shipments; ensure correct loading and complete paperwork.
• Understand Third-Party Systems such as courier services and MSDS.
• Maintain stock levels of consumables and manage requisitions.
• Operate trained equipment and report defects to supervisor.
• Maintain up-to-date records and paperwork.
• Comply with site security policies.
• Follow EMS and QMS requirements and environmental impact.
• Follow Health and Safety procedures in daily duties.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean on site.
• Carry out other duties within skills as reasonably guided.

Material Handler

Location: Heysham

Shifts: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00

Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour

Responsibilities

• Pick UK and Export Shipments from the relevant warehouses using the Pick Lists provided. Reporting any items that do not appear acceptable.
• Follow all Packing and Labeling Instructions to the letter to align Transport Regulations.
• Participate in the collation of Export Shipments and ensure Shipments are loaded accurately and all paperwork is completed in.
• Have a good understanding of Third-Party Systems, such as Courier services, MSDS.
• Maintain good stock levels of all consumables required in our working area and understand the procedure for its requisitions.
• Operate any equipment for which we have completed the relevant training, and to ensure that all defective equipment and other relevant issues are reported to an Operations Team Leader or Manager.
• Maintain up to date records and paperwork necessary to the role.
• Ensure full compliance with site Security policies.
• Conform with the environmental and quality policy, procedures and with the requirements of the EMS and QMS and act appropriately regarding issues affecting impacts on the environment and conforming to product requirements.
• Conduct our day-to-day duties according to current procedures and appropriate Health and Safety precautions.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities on site.
• Carry out any other duties within the employees' skills and abilities whenever reasonably guided
