Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Wellingbrough

Shift: 0700-16:15 Monday to Thursday & Friday 07:00-12:00

Salary: 28,783.46 (13.79 p/h)

Material Handler Role: This role supports production and logistics teams by ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed.

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials, products, and supplies within a warehouse, production facility, or distribution centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Safely load, unload, move, and store materials using hand trucks, forklifts
  • Deliver materials to production lines or storage areas in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
  • Prepare and package materials for shipping, label shipments correctly and complete necessary documentation.
  • Monitor material levels and notify supervisors of shortages or discrepancies.
  • Support cross-functional teams as needed in warehouse, logistics, and production.

Previous Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments
  • Material Handling experience
  • Assembly experience (desirable)
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, barcode scanners, etc.)
