Pertemps Bond in Curdworth, near Birmingham, is recruiting a Material Handler to support production and logistics. You will manage goods in/out, stock movements and despatch, using SAP/ERP and a range of warehouse processes.

The role offers a clear pay progression, weekly rotating shifts with early finish on Fridays, and full training with PPE in a growing manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production or warehouse environments.
• Experience with goods inwards, despatch and stock movements.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT and/or Flexi FLT licences (Multi‑Directional FLT preferred).
• Experience using computerised stock-management systems; SAP/ERP advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Good understanding of warehouse Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials are supplied to production on time.
• Load/unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Process goods receipts, issues and stock movements.
• Use SAP/ERP to complete warehouse transactions.
• Pick, pack and despatch materials and finished goods.
• Transfer stock between locations; rotate stock.
• Maintain accurate stock and traceability records.
• Prepare shipping and despatch documentation.
• Operate FLT safely; support hazardous-waste movements.
• Maintain 5S and a clean, organised workplace.

Salary: Approximately £29,670 during training, rising to approximately £31,625 once trained, including shift allowances

Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and growing manufacturing business based in Curdworth. You will play an important role within its logistics operation, ensuring materials reach production accurately and on time while supporting goods inward, stock control and despatch activities.

This is more than a standard FLT position. You’ll work across the warehouse and manufacturing operation, use computerised stock systems and take responsibility for the safe and accurate movement of materials.

The Role

Working closely with the warehouse, logistics and production teams, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring materials are supplied to production accurately and on time
• Loading and unloading incoming deliveries safely and efficiently
• Processing goods receipts, material issues and stock movements
• Using SAP or other ERP systems to complete warehouse transactions
• Picking, packing and preparing materials and finished goods for despatch
• Transferring stock between warehouse locations and production areas
• Ensuring materials are correctly identified, stored and rotated
• Completing regular stock checks and supporting inventory activities
• Preparing accurate shipping and despatch documentationDelivering and collecting materials for internal departments
• Operating FLT and material‑handling equipment safely
• Maintaining accurate stock and traceability records
• Supporting hazardous‑waste movements when required
• Maintaining a clean and organised workplace in line with 5S
• Following all warehouse and company Health & Safety procedures

What We’re Looking For To be considered, you should have:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
• Experience across goods inward, despatch and stock movements
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licencse and/or Flexi FLT licence, Multi‑Directional FLT licence
• Experience using computerised stock‑management systems
• SAP or ERP experience would be particularly advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping skills
• A good understanding of warehouse Health & Safety
• The ability to work accurately within a busy, time‑sensitive environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and warehouse processes
• GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent

Salary and Shift Pattern

The training rate is £13.20 per hour, increasing to £14.07 per hour following successful completion of training.

You will rotate weekly between:

Morning Shift – 7.5% allowance

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am–2:00pm
• Friday: 6:00am–12:00pm

Afternoon Shift – 20% allowance

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm–10:00pm
• Friday: 12:00pm–6:00pm

Based on the weekly rotation, total annual earnings are approximately:

• £31,625 once fully trained
• Clear pay progression following training
• 7.5% morning and 20% afternoon shift allowances
