Qualifications

  • Experience in production control or planning, supervision, sourcing or material control environment.
  • Previous Stores / Inventory experience.
  • Familiar with manufacturing environment – Aerospace preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of shop floor documentation / systems.
  • Competent in the use of computerised Stock control systems.
  • Oracle R12 experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Shop Floor Stock and replenishment.
  • Maintaining stock accuracy and validation.
  • Minimise inventory investment and optimise production flow.
  • Control / maintain Kanban / Pull systems / Cribs.
  • Progress shortages for production.
  • Maintain traceability – Lot/Serial numbers with FIFO.
  • Handle Hazardous Materials training for Stores staff.
  • Release / print Blade works order Pick lists.
  • De-kitting and return material from works orders when needed.
  • Issuing shortages to Works Orders and confirming physical picks.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in data entry for stock in the system.

Job Description Summary

The objective of the Water Spider is to facilitate material issues to meet production plan on the shop floor “due date driven” resolving / raising any issues which would prevent the plan being meet. Parts & Materials must be controlled to ensure accurate stock records, while maintaining identification and protecting their condition to prevent any deterioration during storage. Any removal / request for parts must be via an authorised process.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintaining Shop Floor Stock.
  • Stock replenishment for the Production areas.
  • Maintaining accuracy and validation of stock
  • Minimise inventory investment and optimise production flow
  • Effectively control / maintain / Implement Kanban / Pull systems / Cribs
  • Progress shortages required for production
  • Traceability needs to be maintained - Lot or Serial will need to be entered and an expiration date if the part is Shelf Life Controlled. A sub inventory and locator will be required.
  • All Stores staff must be trained in the Handling and Storage of Hazardous Materials.
  • Controlling / Picking of Parts.
  • Release / printing of Blade works order Pick list.
  • De-select Part Pick where part selection is required.
  • Maintaining traceability - Lot Numbers / Serial numbers to be picked in FIFO (First in First Out).
  • De-kitting - Return of material from a Works order - works order is cancelled or contains non-conforming parts.
  • Non-Conformance – Raise NC if required.
  • Issuing of shortages to Works Orders if required.
  • The stock keeper must manually confirm the physical pick.
  • Stores Routines Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, identified and adequately protected.
  • Control of Shelf-Life items / materials - Expired Shelf Life Report this report lists items that have an expired, or soon-to-be expired.
  • Any out-of-date stock must be removed and quarantined for disposition as per material review board procedure / Follow Preliminary Review Board procedure (PRB).
  • Validate accuracy of stock to maintain the integrity of the business system for both Supply and Demand.
  • Maintaining and controlling stock quantity, location, Serialisation and Lot numbers for Traceability.
  • Performing a Cycle Counts Cycle Count Adjustments Perpetual inventory counts / Adjustments Provide cover for Stores / Goods-in Receiving and Despatch as per business requirements.
  • Demonstrating good practice in inventory control, maintain accuracy.
  • Update data accurately into the Business System as required.
