Material Control Supervisor

A world leading manufacturing business based in Norwich that is recognised for its dedication to providing quality products to the engineering and manufacturing sectors, has a fantastic opportunity for a Despatch Operator to join them at a very exciting time. This business is continuously developing its products and is hugely respected across the world.

This role exists to manage the day-to-day movement and stock control of materials.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for adherence to all processes within assigned areas, including contributing to the development and implementation of new processes and to the continual improvement of existing processes.
  2. Trains and facilitate the actual training of team members to defined standard process and ensures ongoing adherence to the standard.
  3. Responsible for performance management of defined team.
  4. Responsible for the development of defined team.
  5. Assure that proper records and reports are established and maintained.
Core Competencies:
  1. Timely decision making.
  2. Sound judgement of difficult situations.
  3. Production Planning/Scheduling.
  4. Team communication.
  5. PC Literacy including Microsoft Office.
  6. Prior Lean Production experience is a bonus.
