A sports technology company is seeking a part-time Match Day Technician to work on-site at football stadiums. The role involves setting up Hawk-Eye technology, conducting pre-match checks, and troubleshooting during matches. Ideal candidates should have a technical background and excellent problem-solving skills, with availability for weekend and mid-week events. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to gain valuable experience in the sport technology sector.

Contract: Casual/Freelance
Hourly Rate: £12.50 plus holiday pay
Start Date: ASAP
As a part-time Match Day Technician, you will be working on-site at football stadiums in your region, playing a key part in the delivery of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to the SPFL. You will have direct ownership over setting up and assisting in the operation of the system.
As you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team, you will gain exposure to various other services. We will provide you with the technical training, foundations, and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks, while also encouraging development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.
On a match day, you will arrive at the stadium 5 hours before kick-off, and our duties are not complete until 1 - 2 hours after the final whistle. You’ll not only need to be prepared to regularly work at weekends but also be available for mid-week evening fixtures.
Setting up Hawk-Eye technology in the stadium (this can involve physically demanding work, such as rigging cameras and running cables);
Conducting pre-match checks both on-pitch and in the broadcast area;
Liaising with stadium staff, match officials and host broadcasters;
Monitoring the system during the match.
Assisting the team with troubleshooting any issues that occur;
Operating the RRA (Referee Review Area) monitor;
Maintaining our hardware and equipment;
A technical grounding;
Bright and enterprising, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Proactive attitude, ability to work on your initiative and embrace responsibility;
Time management skills and theability to work in a high-pressure, live broadcast environment;
Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner;
A keen interest in Sport and Technology;
