Job summary

Resillion is seeking an experienced Mastering QC Operator for on-site work in London to perform advanced QC of audio and picture assets across media workflows. You will ensure deliverables meet technical specs and client requirements while maintaining global distribution standards.

The role requires mastering-level QC, strong knowledge of file-based workflows (IMF, ProRes, DPX, TIFF), and proficiency with DaVinci Resolve and Colorfront Transkoder.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as Mastering QC Operator in a professional post-production facility, studio, or media environment.
• Extensive experience QC-ing feature films, episodic content, and digital media deliverables.
• Advanced knowledge of identifying and troubleshooting video, audio, and film impairments, including root causes and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of file-based workflows and formats (IMF, Apple ProRes, DPX, TIFF, J2K).
• Proficiency with SD, HD, 2K, UHD, 4K, HDR-10, and Dolby Vision workflows.
• Advanced experience with DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront Transkoder, and professional QC tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform mastering-level QC inspections of audio and picture assets to identify, document, and communicate technical issues and inconsistencies.
• Generate detailed QC reports accurately documenting findings, severity levels, and required corrections.
• Create, verify, and prepare deliverables while ensuring compliance with client specifications and distribution requirements across multiple territories.
• Review technical specifications including video format, aspect ratio, audio configuration, color space, HDR requirements, metadata, and delivery standards.
• Perform QC evaluations across SD, HD, 2K, UHD, 4K, HDR-10, Dolby Vision workflows.
• Utilize waveform monitors, audio meters, scopes, and industry-standard QC tools to perform detailed technical assessments.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to file integrity, playback, encoding, packaging, and media workflows.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across multiple versions, platforms, and deliverable requirements.
• Support testing and validation of new workflows, tools, and technologies to improve quality and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide clear communication regarding QC status, findings, and delivery readiness.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Production, and Client Services teams to resolve technical issues and support successful project completion.

Position Overview
Resillion is seeking an experienced Mastering QC (Quality Control) Operator responsible for performing advanced quality control of audio and picture assets across a variety of media workflows. This role ensures deliverables meet technical specifications, client requirements, and global distribution standards.
The ideal candidate has extensive mastering-level QC experience, strong technical knowledge of file-based workflows, and the ability to identify, document, and communicate complex audio, video, and metadata issues within a fast-paced post-production environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge of identifying and troubleshooting video, audio, and film impairments, including root causes and corrective actions.(Required- some training)
• Strong understanding of file-based workflows and formats including IMF, Apple ProRes, DPX, TIFF, and J2K. (If they know one format well, the knowledge translates to other formats, Training can be provided)
• Proficiency with SD, HD, 2K, UHD, 4K, HDR-10, and Dolby Vision workflows. (If they know one format well, the knowledge translates to other formats, Training can be provided)
• Advanced experience with DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront Transkoder, and professional QC tools. (Scale of 4 at minimum. Colorfront is mandatory, resolve is secondary)
• Ability to interpret HDR analysis reports, including MaxFALL and MaxCLL measurements. (Can be trained)
• Experience with international distribution requirements and territory-specific deliverable standards. (Can be trained)
