Job summary

Hawk Hiring represents a leading franchised dealership network in Lincoln, recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a master workshop team. The role covers heavy mechanical repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and warranty inspections at a state-of-the-art service facility with advanced tooling.

Salary ranges £35,000–£45,000 with an efficiency bonus, plus 20 days leave and pension. Fully funded upskilling including EV/Hybrid certifications and brand qualifications are provided; MOT tester status is

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical overhaul capabilities with attention to detail
• Active MOT Tester accreditation is advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• Carry out heavy mechanical repairs including engine diagnostics/overhauls, gearbox replacements and timing belts/chains
• Use brand diagnostic platforms to trace and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software faults
• Conduct routine servicing, VHCs, and manufacturer warranty inspections
• Maintain detailed technical records on job cards and communicate progress to service reception
• Uphold bay cleanliness, tool maintenance and workshop health and safety standards
