Qualifications

  • A Level 3 IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Master Technician certification (brand-specific preferred but not essential).
  • Extensive experience diagnosing and repairing modern vehicle systems.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

As a Master Technician, you will be the go-to expert in vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and complex repairs. You’ll lead by example, supporting the service team in resolving the most challenging technical issues, and ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop in peak condition. You'll also play a crucial role in mentoring and upskilling other technicians.

You’ll represent technical excellence, customer assurance, and brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
  • Support and guide other technicians with complex technical issues and fault-finding.
  • Carry out quality control checks and ensure all work meets manufacturer and company standards.
  • Liaise with manufacturer technical departments when needed for advanced support or warranty-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all repairs and diagnostic work carried out.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by clearly explaining technical issues in an accessible way.
  • Uphold a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest technical bulletins, training, and certifications as required by the manufacturer.
About You – What We’re Looking For

To thrive as a Master Technician, you will need:

  • A Level 3 IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Master Technician certification (brand-specific preferred but not essential).
  • Extensive experience diagnosing and repairing modern vehicle systems.
  • High-level technical competence and a genuine interest in the latest vehicle technologies.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • A full UK driving licence with no excessive points or disqualifications.
