Job summary

General Dynamics UK Limited in Hastings is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to coordinate delivery commitments, analyze demand and maintain schedules for production teams.

You will monitor Master Production Scheduling, prepare weekly status updates, perform capacity planning, and support policy changes while liaising with cross-functional teams. Experience with Oracle MRP/ERP and familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates manufacturing delivery commitments with Program Management and Contracts.
• Analyzes customer demand and validates manufacturables with attainable delivery dates.
• Monitors Master Production Schedules for delinquencies and suggests corrective actions.
• Prepares and distributes weekly schedules and project status summaries.
• Develops forecasts and identifies critical resources and bottlenecks.
• Adheres to Master Production Scheduling policies and procedures.
• Monitors changes to Order/Lead Time Policies and applies rough-cut capacity planning.
• Attends Control Board Reviews to assess impact on MPS commitments.
• Prepares startup schedules and coordinates test equipment and fixtures.
• Coordinates recovery plans and chairs cross-functional problem-solving meetings.
• Works with finished goods shippers to ensure timely shipments.
• Supports BOE requests for new bids and attends reviews as required.
