Job summary

Svitzer Americas is seeking an experienced Tug Master for their London operation. The role is hands-on, focusing on the safe and efficient operation of the tug. Candidates must possess a Master <500GT Certificate of Competency and have experience in towage. The position includes a competitive salary of £70,722.46 per annum, a permanent time-for-time contract, and benefits such as pension matching and life cover. • Master <500GT Certificate of Competency (minimum)
• Valid ENG1 and STCW certification (minimum of six months on all certifications)
• Harbour or terminal towage experience – essential
• Experience with ASD and/or Voith propulsion systems
• Strong communication skills
• Solid administrative skills and comfort with computer-based systems
• UK Driving Licence
• The right to live and work in the UK

• Handle assisted ships safely and decisively in confined waters
• Set the safety standard on board and ensure it’s lived
• Lead and develop your crew, creating a culture of trust
• Maintain vessel readiness, documentation, and operational reporting
