Job description

As a Master Data Manager, you will report to the Head of Data Management and play a pivotal role in the overall strategy and execution of Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. You will oversee the implementation of data governance policies and procedures, ensuring a single source of truth (golden record) using the Profisee MDM tool. You will provide the Single Source of Truth (SSOT) principle, emphasising the importance of having one definitive, trusted data source for all users to rely on for decision-making.

What you’ll be doing as a Master Data Manager

  • Act as a senior expert in MDM content, processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement the MDM strategy and framework.
  • Lead the implementation of business rules, overseeing data governance activities and managing MDM data mapping and ingestion, ensuring the system aligns with the organisation's data strategy.
  • Ensure MDM solutions support the organisation's business objectives, working closely with the Head of Data Management and Governance and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT and Business Teams: Work closely with IT teams to oversee the implementation of the data solution and with business teams to understand their data needs
  • Oversee MDM services on Azure Profisee for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Validate and approve final data processes during User Acceptance Testing.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data architecture and MDM and incorporate these into the data platform as appropriate.

Base Location: Reading, Berkshire - Hybrid

Working Pattern: 36 Hours

What you should bring to the role
  • Understand Data Governance and Master Data Management. (MDM)
  • Be proficient in Azure Profisee.
  • Experience in data governance practices, including data quality, data lineage and data privacy.
  • Knowledge of data integration toolsets like Azure Data Factory.
  • Ability to use governance standards and policies for data stewardship.
  • Understand data lifecycle management and align data initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview.
