Job summary

Vanrath is seeking an experienced Master Data Management Manager in Northern Ireland to own end-to-end master data processes and governance within a major transformation programme. You will work with IT, business stakeholders and international teams to improve data accuracy, standardisation and data quality across multiple sites.

The role requires a strong background in MDM, data governance, and ERP systems (preferably SAP), with proven stakeholder management and analytical problem-solving

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or related field.
• Experience implementing data governance frameworks and quality standards.
• Knowledge of customer, supplier/vendor and material master data.
• Experience with ERP platforms, ideally SAP.
• Strong data quality controls and process standardisation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end Master Data Management framework and processes.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies covering data quality, retention and lifecycle management.
• Ensure master data standards across multiple units and locations.
• Identify and implement improvements to customer, supplier and material data processes.
• Act as SME for master data workflows, systems and governance.
• Lead system enhancements and new solutions with IT teams and stakeholders.
• Drive data quality monitoring, KPIs, reporting and improvements.
• Maintain master data documentation and training materials.
• Support business units in resolving data-related issues.

About you

• 5+ years' experience within Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Operations or a similar discipline.

• Strong understanding of master data workflows, data structures and lifecycle management.

• Experience implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks and quality standards.

• Knowledge of customer, supplier/vendor and material master data.

• Experience working with ERP platforms, ideally SAP.

• Strong understanding of data quality, controls and process standardisation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex data issues.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Desirable:

• Experience with SAP Material Management (MM), particularly customer and vendor-related data.

• Background within food manufacturing, FMCG or supply chain environments.

• Experience working with MES, MTech or other integrated business systems.

• Knowledge of data analytics and visualisation tools.

• Understanding of SOX requirements, audit controls and data compliance.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of the end-to-end Master Data Management framework and associated processes.

• Develop and maintain data governance policies covering data quality, retention and lifecycle management.

• Ensure master data standards are consistently applied across multiple business units and locations.

• Identify and implement improvements to customer, supplier and material data processes.

• Act as the subject matter expert for master data workflows, systems and governance.

• Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and new solutions.

• Lead end-to-end testing, regression testing and implementation of master data system developments.

• Monitor data quality through KPIs, reporting and analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure master data documentation, operating procedures and training materials are maintained.

• Support business units in resolving complex data-related issues and embedding standardised processes.

• Ensure appropriate controls are in place across master data processes, including audit and SOX requirements.

• Drive opportunities for automation, digitalisation and improved utilisation of ERP systems.
