Gateshead Council is seeking a MASH Social Worker to lead safeguarding decisions for children and families. You will screen contacts, gather information from partners, assess risk and apply thresholds to inform timely actions.

Qualifications

• Registered social worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidelines.
• Excellent assessment, analytical and decision-making abilities.

Responsabilités

• Screen and analyse contacts and referrals relating to children and families.
• Assess risk, harm, vulnerability and protective factors to inform decisions.
• Escalate concerns when urgent safeguarding action is required.
• Contribute social work expertise to multi-agency discussions and decisions.
• Work with partner agencies to identify appropriate support pathways.
