Job description

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen to support our Band 7 Safeguarding Children Nurse Specialists for the Hertfordshire Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We are looking to appoint one full-time Practitioner at Band 6. However, part-time hours, a minimum of 0.6 WTE, would also be considered.

Our nurses work to ensure that health is an active partner in the multi-agency risk assessment, notification, and referral of children (0-18 yrs). As a MASH nurse, you are expected to collate, risk assess, and share information necessary to safeguard and/or promote the welfare of a child. This work will be in collaboration with our partners in children's services, police, and probation, with the joint aim to safeguard children in Hertfordshire.

Proposed interview date: 22-Aug-2025

You will be required, after initial training, to work autonomously searching for and collating health information from HCT records system (SystmONE), with due regard to patient confidentiality. Additionally, you will liaise with health partners, collate, risk assess, and share information onto a pre-formatted template, and return it within prescribed timelines.
