Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced MASH Manager to join the team at Tameside. The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) plays a critical role in screening all Children’s Social Care referrals, offering a single point of access for concerns about child safety and well-being. Their ethos centres around providing the “right support at the right time,” following a restorative model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the MASH team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Screen and assess referrals, prioritizing cases based on risk and need.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to gather relevant information and make informed decisions.
  • Provide supervision and support to Senior and Experienced Social Workers.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably within a MASH setting.
  • Strong leadership skills and an understanding of how performance impacts outcomes for children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
  • Social Work qualification and registration with the relevant professional body.
