An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed professional to join the Harrow Safeguarding Team, on secondment as a MASH Health Practitioner.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a health background who has a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children processes and current legislation.
The successful candidate will work as part of the dynamic MASH multi-agency integrated team assessing notifications and referrals regarding children aged 0-18 that are received by MASH. The postholder will share information with due regard to patient confidentiality, interpreting and sharing the necessary information to safeguard and promote the welfare of a child.
The post offered is to cover a period of 12 months as a secondment.
The post is Band 7, working 37.5 hours per week, based between remote working and Local Authority premises.

Essential: Registered Nurse (Adult/Child/Mental Health/Learning Disability), Qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor or School Nurse)
Desirable: Safeguarding Supervision training completed
Essential: Experience in community settings, managing risks, child protection caseload, understanding of NHS safeguarding, multi-agency working, legislation, and risk assessment.
Desirable: Post-graduate degree or working towards, continued professional development in safeguarding children.
Ability to produce concise communications, analyze complex issues, act on incomplete information, contribute to multi-agency meetings, and challenge decisions effectively.
Ability to plan short, medium, and long-term, and implement processes and procedures.
Manage own workload and make decisions independently within tight timescales.
Promote equality and foster good working relations, providing practical leadership.
Experience managing a work-stream without direct line management.
