What you’ll be doing:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing Technology team as a Tech Lead. We have a wide-ranging client list, working with some of the biggest and most innovative brands in the UK across various sectors.

This role involves leading projects and serving as the technical lead on retained accounts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical oversight and assurance to projects and change requests of all sizes.
  • Creating costed proposals for new work, ensuring requirements are clear, solutions are viable, and best practices are followed.
  • Producing detailed effort estimates considering the full scope of work.
  • Taking responsibility for overall solution design and implementation.
  • Maintaining all technical specifications and documentation.
  • Driving planning activities with development teams.
  • Managing and prioritizing team workload.
  • Providing technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure timely and within-budget delivery without compromising functionality.
  • Understanding and maintaining the larger project vision while managing detailed solutions.
  • Anticipating and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Establishing trust as a technical authority and trusted advisor to clients.
  • Working with client IT teams to ensure adherence to policies and processes.
  • Facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and timely follow-up on actions.
  • Supporting pre-sales activities, including solution design and technical responses to RFPs/ITTs.
  • Participating in client meetings, presentations, demos, and strategy sessions, providing technical insights and recommendations.
  • Identifying and securing new project opportunities with clients.
  • Serving as an escalation point for project or support challenges.

Who you are:

  • Experienced as a Senior Developer or Technical Lead, supporting or leading complex MarTech solutions.
  • Knowledgeable about at least one of the following vendors: Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Braze, Bloomreach, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, mParticle, Optimove, Tealium AudienceStream.
  • Energetic, positive, and motivating.
  • Experience in agency, consulting, or technology organizations.
  • Knowledgeable in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible in communication, proactive, and reactive as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of explaining complex solutions to clients at all levels.
  • Experience delivering projects on client sites and working with client IT teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Organized, able to juggle multiple projects.
  • Attentive listener with strong requirements gathering skills.
  • Pragmatic, recommending solutions that meet client needs efficiently.
  • Deep experience with at least one marketing technology platform, preferably including campaign management or customer engagement tools.
  • Exposure to Customer Data Platforms and involvement in their implementation is a plus.
  • Capable of providing accurate effort estimations for MarTech projects.
