Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a London-based Markets & Investing Editor to edit and publish high-quality content for our websites and newsletters across the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada.

You will work with experienced financial journalists to shape breaking news, market analysis, and data-driven stories while developing newsletters to grow readership and strengthen audience engagement. The role requires strong editorial judgment and a passion for simplifying complex topics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience editing investment, personal finance, or financial markets content.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investing concepts, and economic news.
• Ability to improve story structure, sharpen leads, and concise conclusions.
• Experience using financial data platforms and editing under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Edit and publish market news, analysis, and data-driven content across Morningstar's sites and newsletters.
• Partner with journalists to shape reader-focused stories on investing and markets.
• Ensure content meets high editorial standards for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Develop newsletters to grow readership and engagement; apply SEO best practices.
