Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support outdoor markets across the Kirklees district, including Huddersfield and Dewsbury. The role involves opening/closing facilities, setting up stalls, and assisting visitors and traders with high service standards.

The ideal candidate will have facilities/maintenance experience, be comfortable outdoors in all weather, and able to travel between sites. This is a temporary 6-month contract with the potential to extend or go permanent.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a facilities/maintenance role.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Able to handle physical/manual tasks and travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Opening, securing and closing market facilities.
• Setting up and dismantling market stalls and equipment.
• Supporting traders, customers and visitors with excellent service.
• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation across market sites.
• Undertaking basic maintenance and operational checks.
