About The Role
We are looking for a strategic, data-driven and execution-oriented Operations Manager to join our UK Operations team within the Groceries & Retail business. In this role, you will lead critical initiatives that directly impact marketplace performance, operational reliability, and product enablement You will own complex cross-functional projects to drive operational excellence and deliver an exceptional experience for courier, customer and merchant experience. The role requires deep problem-solving, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment with stakeholders across Product, Courier Ops, Safety, Commercial, and Central Ops teams.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and improve grocery delivery performance by owning key operational levers. You'll need to move fast, troubleshoot issues in real time, and balance the needs of couriers, customers, and merchants.
- Lead the rollout of new product features, working closely with product and commercial teams to ensure successful adoption.
- Act as the voice of the UK Retail business in global product development, translating operational needs into clear feedback and helping shape what gets built.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Commercial, and other Operations teams) to deliver initiatives that improve delivery quality and efficiency.
- Build data-informed business cases by diving deep into large datasets using SQL to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and guide strategic decision-making.

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., STEM, Economics) or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in operations, analytics, or product, ideally in tech, logistics, or strategy consulting
- Proficiency in SQL to extract and analyze large, complex datasets
- Strong business acumen and ability to craft data-backed recommendations
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort presenting to stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
- Experience using Python for data manipulation and statistical analysis
- Track record of working across highly cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and pushing forward when priorities shift
- Ability to influence without authority and advocate for operational realities in technical discussions
