Job description

You know all about our high street roots and bricks and mortar stores. Now, we're looking to the future. Since 2021, we've embraced some changes. Debenhams hasn’t made a comeback - we’ve been here since 1778, evolving and adapting to the times. This is Debenhams today - Britain’s Leading Online Department Store

We are more than a department store - we are an institution. From creating the blueprint for designer collaborations with designers at Debenhams, to launching countless brands and inventing the beauty counter, we’ve consistently shaped the retail landscape.

We don’t underestimate the power of our brand or the place we hold in people’s hearts. This is only the beginning of the next chapter for Debenhams.

Britain needs Debenhams.....Debenhams needs you!

Your Role

Our Marketplace is growing from strength to strength. As we onboard new sellers onto the platform, We are looking for an Onboarding and Support Associate to join the Marketplace team. You will be joining a growing team, working alongside the Business Development and Account Management teams to onboard new partners and support the growth of Debenhams.

Your Team

Our vision is to be the UK's leading online department store and make our mark on the international market. We strive to become the number one destination for fashion, beauty and home. Our growing marketplace proposition plays a crucial role in fulfilling our vision. That's why we need you. You will be reporting into our Partner Onboarding and Support Manager

What you'll be doing

  • Work with the wider marketplace team to initiate and implement the on-boarding of sellers on to the Debenhams Marketplace. This will include supporting sellers to launch, followed by post integration care to ensure all operational aspects are running smoothly
  • Monitor seller performance to ensure it is in line with operational KPIs to trade effectively on the marketplace
  • Build strong relationships across internal stakeholders from key functions (IT, e-commerce, marketing and legal) to support delivery of marketplace initiatives
  • Maintain strong relations with sellers on Debenhams Marketplace, optimising sellers’ catalogue information, and ensuring these conform to Debenhams guidelines
  • With the support of the Operations Assistant, successfully load products onto the Debenhams Marketplace

About You

  • You will be an analytical, organised and process driven individual
  • Ideally around 5 years experience operating within the ecommerce space. Prior experience of working with a Mirakl enabled platform will be beneficial
  • Marketplace onboarding experience is preferred
  • Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of management and demonstrable customer-centric thinking
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work who excels in challenging environments
  • Excellent command over MS Office suite
  • Team player, able to work with multiple business functions to achieve objectives
  • You will develop in-depth knowledge about our platform and how best to assist the integration of new partners, therefore adapting to different situations will be one of your key attributes

What to expect from here:

  1. If we believe you could be a great fit for the role, we’ll invite you for an informal conversation via phone or Microsoft Teams with our Talent Acquisition Manager.
  2. If successful, you’ll then meet with the Onboarding Manager at Debenhams House to discuss your experience in more detail and explore the value you can bring to the team.
  3. Most of our hiring processes consist of two stages. You will meet with the Head of Onboarding. You may also be asked to meet with Senior Leadership
  4. We will conclude the process after this stage and feedback soon after your final meeting with a final decision.

Why join us

  • You’ll get the opportunity to take part in our various share schemes
  • Core hours enable you to flex your working times around your needs on an ad hoc basis
  • Benefits that support your health and wellbeing
  • There’s up to 40% discount off our all of our brands
  • Our social calendar? Next level
  • With HQs in Manchester and London and offices across the globe (some are dog friendly!), we offer a buzzing atmosphere and the boohoo family culture wherever you work
