About the role

The role of the Implementation & Activation team within Wavemaker is to deliver the highest excellence in Implementation Planning and Buying, spanning both offline and online media types, powered by data, technology, and automation, ensuring client campaigns are executed and amplified in an effective, efficient, and future-facing way. The scope of Implementation & Activation incorporates traditional media (TV, Cinema, Out of Home, Radio, Print, Digital Video and Display) and the online evolution of traditional media (Addressable TV, Programmatic OOH, Music Streaming and Podcasting).

The role of Group Director within the Implementation & Activation team is to lead, with overall responsibility for the direction, workflow and quality of Implementation Planning and Buying for the client team.

The Role:

• Proven capability in managing a large diverse team
• Passion for Implementation Planning and Buying, with extensive agency experience
• Strong, up to date, media landscape knowledge (confidently able to articulate macroeconomic and consumer trends and forecast challenges / opportunities for clients)
• Inspiring communicator with clear written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the patience to examine detail and create solutions
• Collaborative and astute - able to build trust and respect within a network
• Results Driven. Passionate about delivering business results for clients, with the ability to identify and clearly articulate what’s working and why

What Success Looks Like:

In 3 months:

• Established collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders and internal reports
• A strong understanding of and can clearly articulate the agency and group proposition, core Implementation & Activation processes and our way of working
• Immersed yourself in the team with an understanding of the status of all active and upcoming campaigns

In 6 months:

• Demonstrated your ability to deliver on all aspects of the role in an efficient, effective and proactive way
• Strengthened your key stakeholder relationships to deliver great teamwork consistently
• Leading the Implementation & Activation processes for the team’s clients from end to end, ensuring that your manager and wider team are regularly updated

In 12 months:

• Taking on greater ownership for campaigns and clients – responsibility and volume
• Building strong relationships with publishers, representing the Wavemaker team appropriately and ensuring that campaigns are delivered to the highest quality
