Hamilton Barber Recruitment seeks a Marketing & Engagement Support for a part-time role in Sheffield. You will manage social media, create content with Canva, and help tell the stories of the organisations supported.
The role also covers updating the WordPress site, analysing engagement data, and building relationships with local media and partners. You’ll contribute to quarterly newsletters and support events while developing knowledge in social investment and the wider third sector.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in marketing, communications or engagement who is looking for a varied part-time role within a purpose-led organisation.
Working as part of a small central team, you’ll help deliver the organisation’s marketing and communications activity, creating engaging content, managing digital channels and helping to tell the stories of the organisations and communities it supports.
There is plenty of variety in the role, as well as the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within social investment and the wider third sector.
You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of social media channels, creating content using Canva, responding to engagement and looking at ways to grow relevant audiences.
You’ll keep the website up to date using WordPress, adding news, case studies and other content, while using Google Analytics and engagement data to understand what is working and where improvements can be made.
A key part of the role will be bringing stories to life. You’ll work directly with clients to develop case studies following successful funding, gathering testimonials, images and video content and occasionally visiting organisations to capture material.
You’ll also help build relationships with local media, partners and wider networks, produce quarterly newsletters, support events and maintain marketing KPIs.
You’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys creating clear and engaging content for different audiences. You’ll have experience of managing social media and WordPress experience is essential.
You’ll be comfortable juggling different priorities and working independently, while also enjoying being part of a small, collaborative team. Experience using Canva, website and social media analytics, writing newsletters or case studies and supporting events would all be useful.
Just as importantly, you’ll be proactive, approachable and curious, with good attention to detail and an interest in learning more about social investment and how it can help organisations and communities grow.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.5 hours per week, based in Sheffield with some local travel. The salary is £28,000 – £32,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
You’ll be joining a small team where you can genuinely get involved, contribute ideas and develop your skills, while working for an organisation focused on creating positive social impact
