In 2018, our Women's team gained a professional status for the very first time, jumping 2 divisions and competed in the Women's Super League (WSL), the premier division of women's football in England. After finishing a respectable 7th, the team enjoyed particular success in the FA Cup reaching the final of the competition, eventually being beaten by 2017 winners Manchester City.
In April 2019, we opened our brand-new Academy facility based at Chadwell Heath which will help to bring through some of the very best talents in the area, the recent emergence of First Team Players Declan Rice and Ben Johnson are a testament to the work already being done at the Academy.
On the business side, we are continuing to create a Stadium our supporters can call home, with the renaming of the Billy Bonds Stand and Claret and Blue pitch surrounding amongst the latest developments. Additionally, the Club has achieved the Disability Confident Leader status.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our West Ham United Football Club team as a Marketing Strategy Manager. You will help drive the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and work with departments on key projects that support growth and operational efficiency.
What will you be doing?
·Help shape the long-term direction of the Club by working with on the development of the Club’s strategy, priorities and KPI’s for the functioning areas of the Club.
·Work with the business intelligence team, insights team and heads of department on departmental strategies and supporting priority projects
·Draft internal proposals and business models for new growth opportunities, products or markets.
·Support on cross-functional programs of work (e.g., youth engagement, international growth) that could require the development of a plan, assessment of current approach, project delivery etc.
·Conduct market and competitive research, to identify key trends and products and services that could be of benefit to the Club and our fans
·Proactive identification and research of opportunities to drive revenue growth and improve operational efficiency.
·Lead on the narrative and design of presentations for senior stakeholders for both internal and external audiences.
·To analyse, monitor and keep up to date on sporting trends, legislation, and developments.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and organise data and information effectively. You will likely have an interest in sport and an understanding of the business of sport would be desirable. You will have the ability to build strong relationships across the club and with external stakeholders. You can utilise office tools to present complex information and be able to structure arguments effectively and be self-directed and driven to deliver results. You will be comfortable with numbers and be computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. 3-5 years' experience in a similar strategy/consultant role is desirable.
