Job description

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Marketing Strategist for a 16-month fixed-term contract to join our rapidly growing marketing team.

The Marketing Strategist will lead the Campaign and Merchandising team, responsible for globally integrated campaigns, online merchandising placements, and global partner deals distribution. This role requires strategic thinking, team management experience, and a mix of e-commerce knowledge, digital marketing expertise, and data-driven decision-making to establish executional strategies. Cross-functional collaboration is essential, working across various marketing teams, brand, commercial, and product teams, requiring excellent stakeholder management to drive significant business impact.

This position offers insight into all aspects of Skyscanner's marketing operations and provides an opportunity to influence product roadmaps, marketing strategies, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Campaign Development:
    • Develop innovative campaign strategies aligned with marketing and business goals, focusing on key moments and flagship features to impact KPIs and business objectives.
    • Collaborate with analytics teams to define KPIs and optimize campaigns in real-time.
    • Customize campaign strategies for specific audiences and markets to ensure local resonance.
  2. Digital Merchandising:
    • Optimize onsite placement strategies and messaging to build brand trust and loyalty.
    • Oversee governance to maintain consistent onsite messaging aligned with audience needs and campaign evolution.
    • Partner with the Product Lead on merchandising roadmap to improve efficiency and results.
    • Use data insights to inform and optimize messaging strategies across channels.
  3. Partner Deals Distribution:
    • Lead distribution of Partner Deals to relevant audiences, helping partners achieve commercial goals and aiding users in finding the best prices.
    • Continuously optimize distribution and governance to maximize impact and resource efficiency.
    • Manage the distribution of partner content via performance channels for optimal results.
  4. Team Management:
    • Manage a small team to execute integrated campaigns and messaging.
    • Support team development through goals and development plans.
    • Foster a confident and efficient team environment.
  5. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategies.
    • Test and refine brand messaging to develop best practices and optimize campaigns.
  6. Integrated Planning:
    • Plan campaigns across multiple channels with cohesive messaging.
    • Develop strategies for global campaigns with local adaptations.
    • Ensure consistent onsite messaging aligned with audience and campaign changes.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work with Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams for seamless campaign integration.
    • Participate in planning forums for key channels.
