Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced procurement professional for a 6-month contract focused on marketing spend and category management. The role offers Leeds-based office days (2 per week) with 3 days from home, in a high-profile financial services environment.

You will lead strategic sourcing, optimise supplier performance, and advise senior stakeholders while ensuring governance, compliance, and risk mitigation remain central. This is an IR35-in-scope opportunity.

Qualifications

• Marketing, media and advertising categories procurement experience.
• Track record in marketing category management and strategic sourcing.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience managing complex supplier ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of contracts, commercial risk and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of category strategies across marketing spend.
• Lead strategic sourcing activity and supplier negotiations.
• Drive cost reduction and value optimisation (TCO focus).
• Build and manage key supplier relationships and governance frameworks.
• Provide expert procurement advice to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure robust contract management, including risk mitigation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with procurement policies, processes, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate across procurement and wider business teams to deliver outcomes.
