Working in a fast-paced environment, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to lead and deliver impactful marketing and communications strategies for a dynamic construction organisation. This role will take ownership of developing and executing marketing strategies, managing public relations activities, and promoting the company’s brand and services.

REPORTING TO: COO

LOCATION: Based in Newry, Co. Down

CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time, Permanent

HOURS: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week with early finish on Fridays

Role Responsibilities

1. Marketing Campaigns:

  • Develop, plan, and lead the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media).
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content across internal communications and online platforms including Website, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing strategic insights and recommendations for improvement

2. Public Relations:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the company's reputation and visibility.
  • Draft and approve press releases, news articles, and other PR materials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, journalists, and industry influencers.

3. Social Media Management:

  • Manage the company's social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement with followers.
  • Monitor social media trends and propose innovative ways to increase engagement and followers.

4. Event Coordination:

  • Lead the planning and execution of company events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Oversee preparation of marketing materials and promotional items for events.
  • Represent the company at key events and build industry connections.

5. Market Research:

    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors.
    • Analyse market data and compile reports to support marketing and business development initiatives.

6. Internal Communications:

    • Support the development and dissemination of internal communications to keep employees informed and engaged.
    • Lead the creation internal newsletters, announcements, and updates.

The Candidate

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in marketing, PR, or a related role is advantageous with 2 years in a managerial role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites and Canva.
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Skilled in visual content editing.
