Job description

Marketing Operations Manager London

About Mimecast The work people build is worth protecting, and it's harder to protect than it used to be. AI agents now move at machine speed with human-level access, and a small slip-up can become a very public one. We disrupt cybercriminal activity before that happens. We think fast, go big, and always demand more of ourselves. We work hard, deliver, and repeat. We grow with real determination and put success well within reach. We push each other to be better and expect to be pushed back, in a community built on respect, where everyone is counted. Work Protected.

Overview

Marketing Operations at Mimecast connects marketing to revenue: we architect, govern and scale the systems, data, processes that make campaign execution agile, lead quality high, and pipeline conversion measurable. We are an AI first Team: human expertise combined with AI agents built to handle the repeatable, high-volume work, so our capacity to deliver grows faster than our headcount. We are rebuilding lead management from the ground up. Our BDR coverage model, our scoring approach, and our routing logic are all changing at the same time, and the system that got us here won't carry us forward. We're hiring someone to design the new one, not to maintain the old one. As a Marketing Operations Manager, you will own lead management end-to-end: campaign orchestration in support of demand generation, predictive lead scoring, enrichment and data quality governance, and routing that gets every lead to the correct recipient for timely evaluation and follow-up. You'll define the model, not only operate the tools that run it. You'll manage outcomes, workflows, and AI agents rather than people. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, you'll work alongside our Marketing Automation and GTM Engineering specialists, and you'll hold the design decisions for lead management end to end.

What You'll Do

Campaign & Audience Execution

  • Take an audience-first approach to every campaign: build, segment, and continuously optimise target lists so each send reaches the right audience against that campaign's specific objective.

  • Own campaign orchestration end to end, turning requirements into scalable, self-service workflows that free marketers from manual list-building and repetitive setup.

  • Act as the hands-on technical partner behind complex, multi-region programs from webinars and events to intent-driven lifecycle campaigns.

Lead Intelligence, Scoring & Routing

  • Own lead scoring end to end: build the model, validate it against pipeline outcomes, and evolve it from rules-based to predictive.

  • Govern data quality and enrichment across the funnel: cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment that keeps data usable. Extending data ownership beyond the marketing automation platform in partnership with GTM Operations and IT.

  • Bring strong command of lead routing tools with such as Traction and Qualified, so every lead lands with the right person, at the right time, for timely evaluation and follow-up.

AI Agents & MarTech Stack

  • Direct and continuously improve the AI agents responsible for campaign orchestration, lead scoring, and routing. You will set the rules, review the output, and make judgement based decisions.

  • Manage campaign activation via Marketo and Salesforce, alongside intent and enrichment tools like 6Sense, Qualified, and UserGems, so signal flows cleanly from first touch through to conversion.

Partnership & Enablement

  • Be the consultative partner marketers turn to for managing lead quality and follow up.

  • Help the wider team get more from AI and automation, building confidence and self-sufficiency as our tools mature.

  • Partner across GTM, Data, IT, Legal teams to enable campaign solutions that are fast, reliable, and responsible.

What You'll Bring

  • Solid experience marketing operations, demand generation operations, role with direct ownership of lead management, scoring, routing and data quality.

  • Hands-on experience with Marketo and Salesforce, including how lead and account data flows between them.

  • Experience with intent and automation platforms such as 6Sense, Clay, G2 and Usergems. Understand signal quality, not just tool configuration.

  • Expertise in lead routing and lifecycle tools such as Traction (or an equivalent LeanData), and how routing logic connects to scoring, territory rules, and sales handoff.

  • Experience creating automations, integrations, internal tools, or AI-powered workflows that have been adopted by their intended users.

  • Comfort working with data, APIs, and technical systems. You do not need to be a software engineer. You should be interested in building, troubleshooting, and continuing to develop your technical skills.

  • The ability to understand complex or evolving business needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.

  • Clear communication and documentation skills for non-technical audiences.

  • A continuous-improvement mindset and an interest in identifying opportunities, reducing bottlenecks, and making recurring work more efficient.
