Job description

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Shape the future of marketing operations at Burges Salmon.

We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to join our growing Marketing team at Burges Salmon. This is a newly created role that sits at the heart of our high-performing, collaborative team, a unique opportunity to shape how we work, drive operational excellence, and support the delivery of impactful, insight led marketing.

As a firm, we're proud of our reputation for quality, innovation and client service. Our Marketing team plays an important role in supporting the firm's strategic growth, and this role will be instrumental in enabling us to scale effectively and sustainably.

As our Marketing Operations Manager you will act as a central hub across the whole Marketing function. You'll lead on marketing systems, reporting and operations - helping us to work smarter, not harder. From developing dashboards and streamlining workflows to managing our marketing technology roadmap and budget, you'll be the go-to for operational insight and delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and maintaining performance dashboards and reports to track KPIs and ROI.
  • Supporting the development of marketing systems and tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker Studio), in collaboration with IT and Transformation.
  • Coordinating follow-up and ROI tracking for lead generating activity, including events.
  • Managing the marketing activity calendar and resource allocation across internal and agency teams.
  • Acting as the key liaison for CRM and data stewardship, ensuring data clarity and compliance.
  • Driving the marketing technology roadmap, including the adoption of AI tools, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting budget planning and spend analysis, working closely with Finance.
  • Overseeing physical marketing assets and logistics across office locations.
  • Coordinating the team's learning and development programme in partnership with L&D.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a marketing operations role, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with a working knowledge of marketing platforms and CRM systems.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Highly organised, with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience with tools such as WordPress, Concep, ON24, InterAction, Power BI or Looker Studio is a plus.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to shape a new role in a team that's growing in both size and impact. You'll be part of a supportive, ambitious and forward thinking marketing function, with the chance to make a real difference and to grow your career in a firm that values innovation, collaboration and excellence.

Why Burges Salmon?

We're a firm that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll be supported to grow your skills, contribute your ideas, and make a real impact. With a strong commitment to wellbeing, flexible working and a culture that celebrates individuality, Burges Salmon is a place where you can thrive.

We're proud to be named RollOnFriday's 'Best Law Firm to Work At' for four years running and one of The Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality 2024. We're also Platinum-accredited by Investors in People for our commitment to developing our people.
