Leeds Heritage Theatres is looking for an organised, creative and data‑led Marketing Officer to help deliver engaging multi‑channel marketing campaigns across Leeds Grand Theatre and City Varieties Music Hall.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in promoting a diverse programme of theatre, comedy, music, learning activity and special events while helping to grow audiences and maximise engagement across our venues.

You will support the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, print and outdoor advertising channels, ensuring activity is executed effectively, on time and in line with campaign objectives. Using audience and CRM data, you will help identify opportunities to attract new audiences, encourage repeat attendance, and improve campaign performance. Through audience segmentation, testing and ongoing optimisation, you will contribute to a data‑led approach that supports both income generation and audience development.

Alongside campaign delivery, you will help monitor performance across multiple channels, providing reporting and insight that supports objectives and continuous improvement. You will also support the management of campaign budgets and maintain accurate records and reporting.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Communications, Programming, Box Office, Finance and external agencies and suppliers, you will help ensure campaigns are coordinated effectively and delivered to the highest professional standards.

At Leeds Heritage Theatres, we are proud to be an independent charity that generates most of the income needed to sustain our work ourselves. Through effective marketing, audience engagement and ticket sales, we can continue to care for our historic venues, support ambitious artistic programming and create opportunities for people and communities across Leeds to experience the arts.

In this role, you will play an important part in increasing awareness, driving attendance, growing audiences and supporting the long‑term sustainability and success of Leeds Heritage Theatres and its charitable mission.

  • Practical experience of setting up, managing and optimising paid digital advertising campaigns, including monitoring performance and adjusting targeting, creative and spend
  • Experience of building and delivering targeted email marketing campaigns, using audience segmentation and testing to improve engagement and conversions
  • A data‑led approach to campaign planning and decision‑making, with a strong understanding of performance measures and the ability to turn results into practical improvements
  • Experience of using audience and CRM data to support effective targeting, audience acquisition and retention activity
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate campaign activity and prioritise multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, audience‑focused marketing activity
  • Strong collaborative working skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, agencies, suppliers and other external partners
