AD WARRIOR

Marketing Officer (Social Media)

Location: Brighton

Salary: £29,000-£33,000 per annum* (pro-rata depending on working weeks). *

The College seeks to appoint a Marketing Officer (Social Media) to join the Marketing team.

Main Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a passionate individual to manage our Social Media Strategy for the Senior School, from Year 7 to Sixth Form.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Create and implement the College's Social Media Strategy.
  2. Manage all social media channels, ensuring growth and engagement.
  3. Produce engaging content using images, videos, and graphic design tools.
  4. Communicate key marketing messages effectively.
  5. Execute paid social media campaigns and analyze their success.
  6. Stay updated on social media trends and recommend strategies.
  7. Capture photos and videos at school events and daily activities, ensuring proper storage.
  8. Collaborate with marketing teams to share content via newsletters, website, and magazines.
  9. Encourage staff to create and share content.
  10. Monitor comments, likes, and shares.
  11. Report on social media performance over time.
  12. Attend school events to showcase school life.
  13. Update website news regularly.
  14. Perform other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience managing social media accounts, with a passion for educational social media.
  • Build rapport with children of all ages.
  • Be enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Understand social media analytics and reporting.
  • Write succinctly and effectively.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Be flexible to support the Group Marketing Director.
  • Be a skilled photographer and video editor.
  • Adapt writing style to match the school's tone of voice.
  • Be highly organized, managing multiple campaigns and projects.
  • React quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong IT skills, with graphic design experience preferred.
  • Understanding crisis management on social media is desirable.
Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 37.5 hours/week. Occasional outside hours may be required for events, with time in lieu provided. Term-time (35 weeks) appointments are also considered.

Remuneration

Salary: £29,000-£33,000 per annum, pro-rata depending on agreed working weeks.

Holidays

23 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays after 2 years of service.
